Organization Narrative
The North Texas Society of Radiation Therapists or NTSRT was formed circa 1980 in Dallas, Texas, with the purpose “to advance the science of radiation therapy and radiologic technology, to assist in establishing and maintaining high standards of education and training, and to enhance the quality of patient care.”
The NTSRT has consistently met its mission by providing continuing education opportunities for Radiation Therapists in the North Texas and surrounding areas. The NTSRT originally met monthly in various out-patient and hospital-based clinics’ facilities. Throughout the years, as educational opportunities changed from direct contact to indirect means (i.e. journal articles, textbook courses, and webinars), the NTSRT decided to host biannual educational symposiums. Providing spring and fall live contact continuing education opportunities has been the mainstay for the organization for more than 10 years. The NTSRT will endeavor to offer educational opportunities in the future to meet the needs of its members.
